September 5th Prayer Update
“But He was pierced through for our transgressions;
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
and by His scourging we are healed.”
We are thankful for the gospel seeds being planted through this ministry. Even when we don't see the fruit, we trust the Lord to bring salvation and growth to those we meet. Please pray that those who profess faith would grow deeper in their relationship with Christ, read God's Word, become connected to a church body and fully commit their lives to Him. Please also pray for prompt DMV registration of our RV, so we may resume our Bible studies. Pray that we remain close to the Lord and faithful to the work He has called us to do.

During our September 5th outreach, our teams distributed:
13 English language Bibles
4 Spanish language Bibles
7 English language New Testaments
2 Spanish language New Testaments
2 Cross-Talking (Addiction) books
Our north Concord team had the opportunity to speak with Guillermo who told us his mother and sister have been praying for him. We were able to present the gospel to him, include talking about sin, forgiveness and his need to repent and trust in Jesus. Guillermo seemed convicted. We reminded him there are no coincidences - that God had heard his family's prayers and brought us to him that day. He told us he would seriously consider making a decision for Christ. Please pray for Guillermo, that the seed of the gospel planted would take root, that God would continue working in his heart, and that he would turn to the Lord in faith and repentance.
Our Antioch team met Rayna (not shown), a young woman who also experienced homelessness as a child. She later lost both her mother to an overdose and her father just a few months later. Although Rayna has a brother, she told the team she does not have much family support and is looking for a church community. Rayna loves Jesus, said she is a believer and even quoted Scripture with us. We were encouraged by our conversation with her. We provided her with a Bible and prayed with her. Please pray with us that the Lord would lead Rayna to a loving, Bible-believing church community where she can grow in her faith and find the support and fellowship she is seeking.
Our Vallejo team spoke with Saul, whom we have met before. We shared the gospel and read Isaiah 53 with him, and Saul said he trusts the Lord and affirmed he believes the gospel. Although he hasn't been attending church recently due to logistical challenges, we encouraged him to reconnect with a local church and gave him the address for Community Bible Church in Vallejo. Saul thanked us for encouraging him to go. Please pray with us that Saul and his wife will become connected to a church community, grow in their faith, and that God would protect and bless their family.
Our team spoke with Shawn in Vallejo, who was receptive to the gospel. His mother passed away just weeks ago, and he has been carrying deep guilt because his addiction kept him from visiting her in her last days. He told the team he had prayed the day before for the Lord to help him with his guilt. He felt our visit was an answer to that prayer. We read John 3:16-18 with him, and he took an addiction booklet to read. Please pray with us for Shawn to lay down his guilt, turn from his destructive patterns, and surrender his life receiving salvation in Jesus.
Our central Concord team spoke with Nacho (not shown), a familiar and friendly face who is always willing to help. This time, we had a Spanish-speaking volunteer with us, which made it especially meaningful to be able to talk with Nacho, as language has been a barrier in the past. He told the team he struggles with reading and asked for an audio Bible in Spanish, saying he would truly enjoy listening to God's Word. During our conversation, he also told us about the resentment he carries when others are unkind to him. Our team was able to present the gospel to him, encouraging him to focus on Christ rather than resentment. Please pray with us that God would provide a way for Nacho to hear His Word and that it would take root in his heart.
Our Martinez team had the opportunity to speak with Steve and Jackie. They have been living on the streets for many years, and although Steve has grown accustomed to life there, Jackie longs for more stability and is exploring Section 8 housing. They attend parking-lot church services nearby and both have Bibles, but they are not yet particularly open to deeper gospel conversations. However, we were especially encouraged to hear Jackie recognize God's provision in their lives, even in the small things, such as the police showing understanding and mercy toward their situation with their unregistered vehicle. Please pray with us that the Lord would continue to work in their hearts, strengthen their relationship, provide stable housing and draw both Steve and Jackie to Himself.
