July 4th Prayer Update
“Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you”
Oftentimes, we meet individuals who have accepted the difficult circumstances they live with. Nevertheless, we are grateful for the opportunity to show Christ's love through acts of mercy and, most importantly, by sharing the hope of the gospel.
Each blessing bag that we distribute includes a gospel tract, and we pray that even those who are not ready to hear the message in the moment will later take the time to read it. Pray with us for the Lord to use His Word to soften hearts, draw people to Himself, and bring the gift of salvation. Likewise, pray for His protection over each person we meet and that they would find lasting hope in Jesus.
Thank you for enabling us to have the joyful opportunity and privilege to serve the Lord as we go out into the community, bringing the gospel, and trusting Him to give us the boldness and wisdom needed to faithfully proclaim Christ.
Thank you to everyone who helped us reach our Bible Donation Drive goal!! We met and surpassed our goal of 400 Bibles- Praise God! During every outreach, we meet people who are eager to learn more about Jesus, and we are blessed to have opportunities to place God's Word into their hands! Thank you so much for your continued support and prayers for our ministry.

Our Vallejo team spoke with Randy who we've known for some time. Though he never has requested personal prayer for himself; he regularly asks for prayer on behalf of others. While he is not interested in gospel conversation, we have been consistent in praying the gospel with and for him. At the same time we do pray for the requests he has for others. Please pray with us that the Lord will soften his heart and that he may be willing to engage in gospel conversation, and that he'd be open to reading God's Word.
Our Central Concord team had the opportunity to speak with Angel, Eliseo (both shown) and Armando. We gave a Bible to Angel during our last outreach, and when we asked if he had read it yet, it became apparent he struggles with reading. He claims he was attempting to find an audio-version online. We encouraged Eliseo and Armando to get together with Angel, so that they could study the Bible as a group since their tents are located near each other. Please pray with us that this trio would study God's Word together, and that the Lord would open their eyes to the truth of repentance and faith.
Our Vallejo team had the opportunity to speak with Shiree (shown). In her mind, Shiree feels that she is a good person and doesn't believe that she does not regularly sin. Our team discussed the topic of sin, explained that our good works do not provide salvation, and we were able to share the gospel with her. Shiree listened intently and appeared receptive to our gospel presentation. She was enthusiastic upon receiving a Bible from us, and seemed excited to begin reading the book of John which was suggested to her. She asked prayer for the opportunity to reunite with her children and family. We also prayed for her welfare and protection. Please pray with us that Shiree reads the Bible given, and that she would turn to Christ in repentance and faith.
Our north Concord team had the opportunity to speak with Jerry who told us his three year-old daughter had died a couple of years ago. This tragic event led him down a path of alcohol abuse, losing his job and ultimately homelessness. We were able to read 2 Samuel 12 to him, prayed with him and shared the gospel with him. We encouraged him to seek comfort in the Lord, and explained that he could be reunited with his child in eternity if he turned to Christ in repentance and faith. Jerry had thoughtful questions during our discussion and seemed fairly tender-hearted. Please pray with us that the Lord softens Jerry's heart and draws him to true repentance and faith with the recognition there is no joy or satisfaction which comes from alcohol, but rather to seek the comfort of the Lord.
Our Vallejo team received a sad update during our conversation with Ashley (shown). Ashley's mother, Cathy, (who had also been homeless in the area) passed away last month. We shared the gospel with Ashley and prayed with her, as she was very emotional and upset about her mother's passing. Ashley recently visited a church in Vallejo, and we believe it would be great for her to be connected there and attend on a regular basis. Please pray with us that Ashley attends regularly and that the Lord would comfort her in this time of grieving.
Our Central Concord team had the pleasure of engaging in a Bible study with Matt. A couple of months ago, we had requested prayer that Matt would be open to participating in a Bible study with us. We praise the Lord for this answer to prayer! We studied Psalm 139 with him, and our team felt as though Matt understood the passage. We were so encouraged by this encounter! Please pray with us that Matt continues to study the Bible with us in future encounters, and that the Lord would ultimately soften his heart to turn to Christ in repentance and faith.
