July 18th Prayer Update
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
We are so thankful for the opportunity to share God's Word and the hope of the gospel with those we meet during our outreaches. It is our prayer that many would come to understand that salvation is a free gift of grace through faith in Christ alone and that they may respond with genuine faith and transformed lives. We know that only God has the mighty power to save, and we pray that the Lord draws people to Himself through this ministry. Please pray with us for those listed in this update: that the Lord continues to strengthen those who are already trusting in Him, and that the Lord may continue to work in the hearts of those who have not yet believed. May the seeds planted today bear lasting fruit, and may God's grace, truth and peace draw many to Himself.
Praise God for the launch of our new Livermore outreach team in partnership with Gospel Community Church! Please pray that the seeds of the gospel take root, that lasting relationships are formed, the Lord draws people to faith and repentance, and that God brings abundant fruit from this ministry for His glory.

Our first Livermore outreach team
Our Martinez team has had the privilege of getting to know Kevin for quite some time. Our talks with him can be a bit scattered, but we try to redirect toward gospel conversations. Kevin initially refused prayer when offered, but then agreed after some discussion. We were able to share the gospel with him, walked through the ten commandments, and explained repentance and God's forgiveness. We were so encouraged when Kevin told us that he wanted to repent right then and there. We encouraged him to read the Gospel of John, and Kevin seemed excited to begin reading his bible. During our time with him, a neighbor approached and provided a bicycle to Kevin. It was sweet to witness God's provision, as Kevin has bad knees and is unable to walk very much. Please pray with us that Kevin would read his bible, and would turn to Christ in faith and repentance.
Our Vallejo team had the opportunity to speak with Saul. Saul grew up attending church and professes to be a believer. As we talked through the gospel, Saul openly shared about his past sins and reflected on how God used those experiences to humble him and show him his need for Christ. When we asked how we could pray for him, it became clear that he is seeking God's purpose for this next season of life. Please pray with us that the Lord would reveal His purpose in this season of life, and that his understanding of the gospel and his compassion for others trapped in patterns of sin would be used for God's glory.
Our north Concord team has been building relationships with Danny and Taffy for quite some time now. Danny professes to be a Christian and appears to have a genuine desire to follow the Lord, though he shared that he struggles with alcohol. He and his wife (or girlfriend), Taffy, who is dealing with significant stomach-related health issues, were both very grateful for our visit. Our conversation remained centered on the gospel, and they both expressed interest in attending church. Please pray with us that the Lord continues to work in their lives, strengthens their faith and leads them into a healthy church community. Please also pray for their health and safety.
Our central Concord team had the opportunity to speak with Nacho in Spanish, which was especially meaningful since he has always been kind and helpful to our team. Nacho is originally from Mexico and lives in a tent with his mother. He serves alongside a church that distributes food a few blocks away. Nacho shared that he has a son, but their relationship is strained. We encouraged him to read the Gospel of John and challenged him to take the first step toward reconciliation with his son. Please pray that God would strengthen his faith, restore his family relationships and continue to use him as he serves others.
Our Antioch team had the opportunity to speak with Lewis (not shown). Lewis was very receptive to the gospel and openly shared his desire to turn his life around. Although he has struggled with meth and has been away from church for years, he listened attentively as we read from 1 John. He accepted a Bible and prayed with us. We provided him with additional resources for the Bay Area Rescue Mission. Lewis expressed interest in attending NorthCreek Church and even exchanged contact information with one of our team members. Please pray with us that Lewis follows through with church attendance and Bible readings, that he turns away from drug use, and that the Lord grows him in his faith.
Our Livermore team had an encouraging conversation with Sherry. She shared with us that she spent 14 months in a local Christian recovery program. It is evident that Sherry received biblical teaching while at the program, as she asked very thoughtful questions directed at faith and scripture. We shared the gospel, prayed with her and gave her a Bible. Please pray that her curiosity about God's Word continues to grow, that she reads the Bible with an open heart and that she comes to a genuine commitment to Christ as the Lord reveals Himself through His Word.

We continue to pray for those who might be able to contribute a small additional monthly gift of $25 or $50 a month to help with ongoing Hope680 expenses, including our ministry supplies, offices, and RV maintenance. We are trusting God to continue to provide through you!
