August 1st Prayer Update
“ As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
We are grateful to be able to proclaim the hope we have in Christ and to share the love of Jesus through the gospel. We thank the Lord who faithfully guides our team to those we encountered during our recent outreach. Please join us in praying that He would continue to give us wisdom, discernment, and boldness as we point people to Christ. We also ask you to pray specifically for the individuals mentioned in this report, that the Holy Spirit would soften their hearts, draw them to repentance and faith, and produce lasting fruit for His glory.

During our August 1st outreach, our teams distributed:
18 English language Bibles
1 Spanish language Bible
2 English language New Testaments
3 Cross-Talking (Addiction) books

Our Martinez team had a meaningful conversation with Frankie. Frankie listened attentively as we shared the gospel with him, and responded by expressing a desire to repent and place his faith in Christ. We prayed with him, gave him a Bible, and provided him with information to local resources. Please pray with us that Frankie's decision to turn to Christ in faith and repentance is genuine, that he grows in his faith, and that God leads him into a strong, Bible-believing church community.
Our Concord team had the opportunity to encourage Casey, a believer in Christ who shared about his ongoing struggle with temptation to smoke. We prayed with him, asking the Lord to strengthen him and grant him victory over temptation. Casey was kind and welcoming, even directing our team to others in need in Walnut Creek. Please pray with us that God continues to deepen his walk with Christ, strengthen him in his faith, and give him freedom from temptation to smoke.
Our Walnut Creek team had a wonderful conversation with Peter, who was grateful for the opportunity to talk, receive food and coffee, and hear the gospel. He was very receptive and expressed a desire to grow in his faith. Peter asked for and received a large-print Bible. We also provided him with reading glasses and flashlights so that he could read under the overpass where he stays. Peter shared that God had used powerful experiences in his life to show him that He is real, and he seemed eager to continue seeking the Lord. We invited him to church, and believe he would be an excellent candidate for an ongoing Bible study. Please pray that the Lord gives Peter wisdom and guidance, that we are able to reconnect with Peter, that he continues reading God's Word, and that the Lord draws him into a deeper relationship with Christ.
Our Antioch team had the opportunity to speak with Marcus and Daisy (not shown). Marcus, a pastor's son, was familiar with the Bible, and gladly accepted a Bible from us. He even encouraged our team by singing a hymn. Daisy accepted prayer and reluctantly took a New Testament. Please pray with us that God continues to strengthen Marcus in his faith and that He softens Daisy's heart, drawing her to a genuine understanding of the gospel and a personal relationship with Christ.
Our north Concord team spoke with Lilly (not shown), a young woman in her twenties who is currently living alone near the transit station and struggling with addiction. She was kind, attentive, and very receptive as we shared the gospel. We gave her a Bible, a Cross Talking addiction booklet and encouraged her to reach out to NorthCreek church so we could help connect her with support. Please pray that God would free Lilly from the burden of addiction, give her a sound mind, and draw her to His Word. May she come to know the Lord as her perfect Heavenly Father and not allow past experiences or relationships to keep her from embracing His love and grace.
Our Vallejo team had another meaningful conversation with Saul, who appears to be very close to placing his faith in Christ. He shared that something is holding him back and expressed the fear that following Jesus means he must never sin again. We were able to explain that salvation is by God's grace through faith in Christ, and that while believers still struggle with sin, Jesus has already paid the penalty for it through His sacrifice. Saul still has the Bible we previously gave to him, which was encouraging. Please pray with us that whatever is keeping him from fully surrendering to Christ would be removed, that God's truth would overcome every fear and idol in his heart, and that he would place his complete trust in Jesus.

We continue to pray for those who might be able to contribute a small additional monthly gift of $25 or $50 a month to help with ongoing Hope680 expenses, including our ministry supplies, offices, and RV maintenance. We are trusting God to continue to provide through you!
